im surprised no ones wrote in here! well me personally dont really care, coz i know this is ONLINE and thats all, yes ive made some great friends on here, a couple i am meeting up with, but other than that as an answer to your question not at all, if it was real life then yea...but none of this is, which i do think a lot of people should realise!

yea people are going to think differently, as each person as an idividual are diff. so it will bother some but not others, i will say theres prob maybes about 4 - 5 people that id be bothered what they thought. i cant see the reality in this place xx

I care what people think about me here... basically because I present my real self here. What you see is really what you get. Maybe I'm a bit more shy and quiet in real life, but this is my personality. These are the things that I think and would say.

And I care about what certain people think of me. Certainly a much larger number than cinders, but still only what a select few think. I have grown to know and love so many people here, in this online community as I would in real life, that their opinions matter as much to me as they would should I know them physically.

I think, everyone's opinion counts...

on that note... WHY HAVE YOU TWATS NOT RATED ME?!

i think this has been mentioned in other forums but everyone expresses themselves differently on babble..some act like who they are..some like who they want to be..and some like who they think others would want them to be..the beauty of babble is that it allows all this and if a person is on babble and not completely stupid he/she accepts this too...they may still love or hate u though..but then that's what people do..
may all babbylonians live in peace...

I do believe it has been said, yes. And that is in fact the beauty of babble. I just find it sad whenever someone cares SO much about what other people would think about them or how they look that they are willing to be someone else for it. Methinks we should be proud of who we are, and if we're not, then we need to change it.

But course we all do care about what people same think about us. Well, i'm only here for my friends and some special one too haha!
If there would be one time when those bastard friends would ignore me lol and things get mad and serious, that would mean like game-over on babble! -___-;

I care but it's really a matter of degree. I mean, I've had people (perfect strangers, mind you, that I've never really chatted with) post nasty comments on my wall. Do I dwell on it? No. I simply delete those hate messages from my wall and move on. Life is too precious to waste any of it on what some faceless jerk says or thinks.

That said, I've made some wonderful friends here at Babble and even though we joke around a lot, I still cherish their companionship. Would I be devastated if they were suddenly gone? Not really. I'd miss them but hell, how well do I actually know these on-line acquaintances of mine?

Basically, this is a long-winded way of saying what I said in my opening line. So why am I still typing...? OMG, it's finally happened! I can no longer control my forum rants! Agggghhhhh!

just realized i've made two posts without answering the question myself..
i agree with dreamwalker that its a matter of degrees..how much i care goes down a lot just because this isn't real life..and then it depends on how much i've gotten to know that person and how smart or crazy i think they are...so i'd care more about the person who i had a good time and an intelligent conversation with..not so much about the girl who keeps insisting i've gotten her pregnant and should buy her a car after cybering..:P

As far as dracy's pointfor people acting like someone else...sometimes people do that just because its much harder to be what they want to be in real life than it is on babble....they are constrained by society, wives, parents, kids, jobs and reputations and couldn't change even if they wanted to...that is a little sad..but then such is life...after all u can't walk into a room and immediately start fuggling everyone in real life..:P

Well, I will be honest here. I care. I have been honest with everyone I have talked to from day one. I am not a fake person. It's not in my nature wether it is on-line or not. I came to this site looking for what everyone came here for. But things have changed for me. I have met some truly great people on here and I don't refer to them as on-line friends. Everyone on my friends list I consider a friend. A real friend. A lot of people will say they don't care but I will tell them this, if you are my friend I will tell you how I feel, and you are free to tell me how you feel. I love all my friends and I care what they think of me because I am a good person and I treat them with the respect I would expect in return.

i agree with jbcruise. i do care what people think of me - here in the cyberworld and also in real life. Like jbcruise i love my friends and they know who they are and i never said anything that i don't mean. if their opinion of me changes due to one or other reason then i would be heartbroken.
