- Need advice re: work affair
- Message:
- I had an affair/fling with a co-worker for little over 2 years both married. Never saw each other out of work, never met his wife. He got a new job and he promised we would still keep in contact and told me loved me. Next day he texted me good morning and again said he loved me (he never said the L word before) It's been 2 months he barely calls, barely texts and I see him about once a week when he comes into work for some extra money. We were supposed to go to dinner and celebrate his new job and he keeps brushing it off saying we'll go eventually. Well his wife is away so now is the perfect time and he ignores the request. I ignore him adn he doenst seem to notice, then if I say I'm done he acts like nothings wrong. Whats his deal?

- Well, he is thanking his lucky stars his wife did not find out about his affair, or his boss. Its bad form to eat where you piss, and even worse form to cheat with someone elses man. He is telling you it is done.

In the Great Book of How to Get into Big Trouble, there are a few classic ways of achieving your goal. One is by writing a book that rips off a popular religion, like Salmon Rushdie did. Another is by shooting at someone - say the Pope. You could also make a prank call to a government institution. Or roll your eyes at an air hostess during a flight and whisper: "I think the guy next to me is about to try something..." (*wink-wink)... Not quite in the same category, but dangerously close, would be an affair with a married colleague. Only recommended for the wild at heart that enjoy living on the edge where the wind blows hardest...

Go back and watch every drama about cops or firemen or lawyers or anything with an office in it. Find the episodes with the office affair in it. Watch them over and over and over again until you know them dialogue by heart.
Then do what all the characters on those shows do, get really hammered and hook up with some random guy to forget you were ever so stupid as to fall for the office married guy.
