Dear Monkey:

I guess there's no easy way to say this, so I'll just come right out and say it. Our "relationship" has been a bit strained of late, as you doubtless have noticed. As such, my eyes have been wandering a bit and I've made the acquaintance of another, lovely little ape who appears to appreciate all that a civilized monkey like me can offer a lady. Mind you, I'm still faithful to you. I've yet to get physical with the gal but I've got a feeling it may soon come to that. I just wanted to be upfront and honest with you in advance. I'm sorry it's come to this but a monkey has needs!
